FYI - Tulip Festival, etc. @ Thanksgiving Point

For all you nature lovers, the Tulip Festival is going on at Thanksgiving Point from April 15-30. If you've never been to Thanksgiving Point, they have several miles of paved walking trails through a variety of gardens with different things in bloom at different times of the year. Very nice to walk through with a stroller. A bit exhausting with a toddler! They also have a Children's garden, though, which has a Noah's Ark fountain to splash around in, hedge mazes to wander through, and various interactive exhibits. Plus there's the pet farm and dinosaur museum down there as well.

The park offers several kid/family friendly activities, if you're thinking of going down there:
  • Tulip Princess Pageant: Saturday, April 16, 11 am at the Waterfall Ampitheater - girls 1-10 can get their hair and make-up done by a local beauty school. Miss Lehi, Miss Utah, and Miss Teen Utah will be there to judge and deliver fun prizes.
  • Tales for Tots: Every Tuesday @ 11 in the dinosaur museum, every Wednesday @ 11 in the children's garden - storytime plus and activity or craft
  • Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 23 - egg hunts plus various games, crafts, bounce houses, etc. $6/child, $3/adult if you buy before the 18th
  • Half marathon, 5K, and kids' fun run: Saturday, April 30
  • Baby animal birthday: Saturday, April 30, 10-4 @ Farm Country - get up close a personal with the baby animals, games, activities, pony rides, wagon rides, and birthday cake
