I had a different idea I thought I'd share if any of you want to do it on your own with your own kids. It's more of a walking scavenger hunt just finding things around you, like flowers, fire hydrants, mailboxes, etc. You can work on teaching colors by helping your kids look for something of each color, or counting or different textures.
Here's one we did walking along 1st south to Reservoir Park:
Numbers:
· 1 giant stick
· 2 dogs
· 3 states other than Utah
· 4 slug bugs
· 5 pine cones
· All the numbers from 0 to 9
· 50 stairs (You can’t step on the same stair twice!)
Colors:
· Red fish
· Orange flag
· Yellow house (How many other colors of houses can you find?)
· Green mailbox
· Blue bench (How many different benches can you sit on?)
· Purple flower (How many different colors of flowers can you find?)
Special items:
· Shoe tree
· Gnome
· Heart
· Bird bath
· Sleeping sign
· Dinosaur
